{"id":23,"date":"2009-09-16T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2009-09-16T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stealthbus-23"},"modified":"2009-09-16T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2009-09-16T00:00:00","slug":"2009-09-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stealthbus.net\/?p=23","title":{"rendered":"2009 09 16"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Evening at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stockornaut.com\">Stockornaut<\/a>: Crank shaft end piece back from machine shop<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/stealthbus\/images\/IMG_5551.JPG\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Sourced a large 1.125 diameter sprocket which will be welded and sleeved with the crack shaft for very solid connection.<\/p>\n<p>Will use a resurfaced flywheel (original German) and brand new OE Clutch kit.<\/p>\n<p>Templates for the transmission and motor being send to metal laser cut shop for the end mounting plates fabrication.<\/p>\n<p>Other component updates:<\/p>\n<p>Transmission &#8211; will replace main seals and investigate loose shaft, believe should be just a Circlip &#8211; if we find a whole circlip in the bottom of case &#8211; JOY, if not&#8230; mmmm&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Drive shafts, CV joints, boots &#8211; will replace with all new pre-assembled unit from So Cal, this removes any doubt about the previous condition.<\/p>\n<p>Brakes &#8211; waiting on delivery of mounting brackets for upgraded front disc brakes<\/p>\n<p>Batteries racks &#8211; design modification to balance to load, plan on using basic angle iron to build frame to hold batteries in place bolted through the floor.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Evening at Stockornaut: Crank shaft end piece back from machine shop Sourced a large 1.125 diameter sprocket which will be welded and sleeved with the crack shaft for very solid connection.
