I was thinking about putting in a regular head unit. Only problem is I used the slot for my EV gauges; pack volts/amps etc. But there is a 3 inch round blank beside the speedo. Chatting to Westach Engineering they have come up with custom EV gauge for the StealthBus. here is draft design, final we be white on black face with green backlight.

Completed clean up of wiring, installed DC-DC (nicely at 13.8v the whole time now – small amount of fan noise when current draw hits 30A or so… only occurs with headlights, stereo and wipers on… but with stereo on can't hear much else…) RPi next up, just need to finish a small relay board…

vs Public charging stations – part 1. So my initial Walgreens experience gave me a false sense of security in not carrying a full complement of charging cords around, this was my undoing yesterday when three separate public chargers failed to link up correctly.
The common issue is the charger starts delivering current then goes into a fault condition, but not an explicit fault, more of a reset cycling, where the AC relays toggle on and off.
Theories: 1. GFI issue? I'm using the Manzanita which is non-isolated, I have BMS (which are known leakers) and a 40 year car… seems a likely candidate and will be first line of testing.
The only observable behavior from SB side is right before the cycle starts the proximity LED on the AVC unit starts to modulate intensity, and then connection is lost causing the reset cycle to start.
2nd theory Induction issue? So Lily's Blink charger at the house refuses to link up with SB at all, it immediately goes into a reset cycle. I started pulling wires of the panel, and even with only just the connection to the main AC relay, the charger still goes into fault. At this stage there is no connection beyond the relay contacts to the rest of system? If I can't find any potential diffs between the pack and chassis, I'll modify the layout to avoid a potential induction paths… more to come.
